Jocelyn Pope is an emerging artist based in South Carolina, working with a focus in oil painting. She began her study of art while enrolled at Davidson Fine Arts, which encouraged her artistic development and exploration of several mediums including drawing and ceramics. Her technique often consists of small brushwork and vibrant colors. Her artistic concerns are topics such as race, gender, and belonging, acknowledging how they have shaped her personal narrative and life. While studying under multiple professionals, she has participated in numerous exhibitions spanning from Miami, FL to Washington D.C.
